Jane Russell

  Jane Russell was an American actor, singer and model. She had an estimated net worth of $40 million at the day of her demise on February 28th in 2011. Jane Russell is known for her role as a true sexual icon in the film industry. She emigrated from the Midwest to California in order to get her first movie role in "The Outlaw" in 1943. She was the eldest and the sole child of five children to Geraldine Russell and Roy William Russell. She had four brothers: Thomas, Wallace, Jamie and Kenneth. Her father was a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and her mother was an actress who was part of a road troupe. Jane started her piano lessons in the early years of her life because of her mother. Jane later became interested in drama and enrolled in Van Nuys High School's stage production team. She always wanted to be the next designer however, following the passing of her father, who was in his mid-forties, she took a job as a receptionist. Jane started modeling when her mother encouraged her to. She also studied acting and drama with Max Reinhardt's Theatrical Workshop.
